FORTECH 101
FORTECH 101 is a lubricant for hot forging matrices formulated based on micro processed graphite in an aqueous suspension. It has been formulated taking into consideration the main operational parameters found in the hot forging operations of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, especially those in which the forged pieces present complexity for their conformation depending on the movement of the metal. FORTECH 101 was formulated to “work” and provide highly satisfactory performance in a varied range of die temperature and other variables typical of hot forging processes. Correctly applied to the cavities of the matrices by means of spraying FORTECH 101 allows a smooth low of the metal as well as an
easy demolding of the piece.
FORTECH 101 is not flammable, it does not generate toxic vapors and it does not produce fumes. Its unique formulation allows the product to remain stable, even at temperatures that would normally degrade certain ingredients of the product as binders and thickeners. The graphite used in its formulation is its main active component, and its characteristics are high carbon content, low ash content, microscopic particle size and hexagonal and flat geometry. These characteristics allow the product, once applied, to be deposited in the matrices in a homogeneous and uniform way allowing an excellent metallic fluidity during the forging. FORTECH 101 has excellent stability and is therefore also suitable for storage and application in central lubrication systems.
